Thanks to the amazing veterinary professionals, Four Paws Animal Clinic in Nevada City and UC Davis Veterinary Hospital, and generous community that we are fortunate to have, K9 Rüdiger has fully recovered from an injury that could have easily ended his career and is now back on duty with his handler, Officer Cloyd.  Officer Cloyd is so pleased to have his partner back.  "It took quite a long time for Rü to heal up and it was not easy keeping this working dog from doing what he does best.   We wanted to make sure that his healing process was on his terms and not ours.  We are so glad that he is now cleared for duty and back doing what he loves."

Rüdiger began his career at Nevada City Police Department as the first 100% community-funded K9 Officer in the nation. He transferred to Grass Valley Police Department two years later and has served our community for a total of five years.

Rüdiger Foundation is so grateful for the support that has been given to make this PAWS'ible and so relieved that Rü is back on duty following his successful surgery and recovery.  Thank you from all of us!
